Buon Gusto Restaurant

Located at 50 South Buckhout Street in Irvington, Buon Gusto is named for a sister restaurant in Closter, N.J. The new owners, Nicholas and Joseph Mrnarevic, are the sons of Paul and Elvira Mrnarevic who started the original New Jersey restaurant in 1989.

With them will be Head Waiter, Mario Francolic. Among all family members, says Nicholas, they will have been in the restaurant business for a total of 55 years!

Nicholas, a 2002 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rockland County, had many friends in school who came from the Irvington area and felt that the Irvington location would be ideal for the second Buon Gusto restaurant. Brother Joseph graduated from New Jersey’s William Paterson University in 2006. They will be serving an Italian/Mediterranean menu and will specialize in the daily fish catches from the market each day. Reservations are advised. Their phone is (914) 478-0611.
