Weinfeld \nThe Big Six was not just any old regiment of Civil War soldiers. These were the boys from back home in Westchester\, Putnam\, and Rockland Counties. Their nation\, and their President\, had called upon them to save the Union of States\, and they answered that call. Some of them never made it home. Their service and sacrifices have never been forgotten! \nJoin the Lincoln Depot Museum for this unique presentation about a sometimes-overlooked regiment\, one which saw action in Grant’s Overland campaign\, including the Battle of The Wilderness\, Spotsylvania\, Cold Harbor\, the Siege of Petersburg and Cedar Creek. In addition to the battles\, hear the story of a Peekskill and Putnam Valley resident\, Lt. George D. Hyatt. Find out where he served\, and what he left behind…
