SUMMARY:Kayak to Nyack
DESCRIPTION:Join the Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Council and meet fellow paddlers on Sept 27th\, as we paddle 2.7 miles across the Hudson River at the fabled Tappan Zee\, then back again. We’ll launch from Tarrytown’s Losee Park\, and head for Nyack’s Memorial Park beach\, take a 20-30 minute break and return. Experienced kayakers (with their own boats) who have enough endurance to kayak 5 miles with an average speed of 2.5 knots are encouraged to join. We will ask kayakers to travel in a tight group. Accompanying safety boats will be provided by the Auxiliary Coast Guard and the Tarrytown Police boat. Parking will be available for participants at Losee Park. Check in starting at 7am\, launch at 8am.

DESCRIPTION:Leslie Mansell of Cortlandt Manor was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at age 51. With no significant symptoms\, Leslie had a tumor growing and spreading years before her first colonoscopy. Married and the mother of three children\, Leslie fought for two years and four months. \nWe’re inviting our local communities to come together to honor Leslie’s legacy\, raise awareness\, and fund vital research. Participants can walk\, run\, cheer from the sidelines\, or join a virtual run.

DESCRIPTION:Seeking 8-10 high energy actors to portray an ensemble of over 30 characters. Actors do not need to be trained singers but must be comfortable singing on stage. Actors must be 18+. \nPlease prepare a short excerpt from the text of A Christmas Carol and a verse and chorus of a traditional carol. Examples are available on the website; excerpts & carols need not be memorized. Bring a resume and list of conflicts. For $5\, you may enjoy early access at 9:30 am.\nShop at our indoor event for new and gently used items. In addition to our tag sale\, you will have access to a variety of vendors. If you would like to participate as a vendor\, you may reserve an 8-ft table for $50 or two 8-ft tables for $75.\nThe Manor Club is accepting community merchandise donations by appointment.
