SUMMARY:Watercolor Values Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Focusing on contemporary landscape and its 20th-century influences\, All Day Long considers the artist’s vision of nature as explicit material and as abstract fields of color. KinoSaito’s founding muse\, Kikuo Saito\, was a prolific abstract painter\, who had a habitual landscape practice. Saito explored the wilderness of experience and expression\, outfitted with a broad palette and an eye on his Color Field mentors and peers. Each artist in All Day Long is creating work along the edge of subject and obliteration\, challenging the viewer to contemplate what is contained in the landscape versus what is present in front of them. In 2026\, and all day long\, the present and future fragilities of our natural world confront us – making landscape a genre that is an urgent force in the 21st century and on into the horizon. \n– Katrin Lewinsky and Sarah Greenberg Morse \nRSVP Required

SUMMARY:Military Antiques Roadshow at The Lincoln Depot Museum

Bring those old military medals displayed on your mantlepiece\, that old helmet on the bookshelf\, or that old uniform up in the attic – or just come see what others have brought. Members of The Company of Military Historians\, West Point Chapter\, will try to help provide additional information about your treasured items\, and may even have an idea of current value. Questions anywhere between “tell me about this Ames Model 1860 cavalry sabre\,” to “what the heck is this thing?” will be welcome! Lifelong military collectors and curious novices are encouraged to join us!
