Zero Waste Task Force: Composting Virtual Field Trip

Celebrate International Compost Week with WASS by taking a Virtual Field Trip to backyards, apartment complexes, and municipal dropoffs. How can you compost your food scraps? Does your municipality have a drop off location? How can you compost at home? Join us and find out! Tons and tons of uneaten food end up in the garbage to be dumped or burned, but it doesn’t have to be this way, and there are options beyond the backyard compost heap. We’ll hear from the Village of Scarsdale, residents of Greystone apartments in Yonkers, and more!
