Virtual Candidate Forum for New York State 38th Senate District

October 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The virtual Forum will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The
League will use the cloud-based video conferencing application Zoom, and participants will join
from their chosen remote locations.

There are two candidates in the race, Elijah Reichlin-Melnick D; WF) and William J. Weber, Jr.
(R, SAM). The district has been represented by David Carlucci (D), who ran unsuccessfully for
Congress in the 2020 primary election, leaving the seat open.

The public can preregister for the Forum at [http://bit.ly/LWVCFSD38Zoom]. Viewers may sign in
beginning at 6:45 p.m. The Forum may also be viewed on the League of Women Voters of
Westchester Facebook page.

Questions must be submitted in advance at [http://bit.ly/LWVCFSD38Ques]. The deadline to
submit a question is Monday, October 19, 2020, at 12 noon. Questions will not be taken during
the Forum.

The Forum will be available for subsequent viewing through Election Day, Tuesday, November
3, 2020.

The 38th Senate District covers the towns of Haverstraw. Orangetown, Clarkstown, and Ramapo
in Rockland County; and crosses the Hudson River to include the Town of Ossining in
Westchester County.

The Candidates Forum is being presented by the League of Women Voters of Westchester in
conjunction with the League of Women Voters of Rockland and the League of Women Voters of
the Rivertowns.
