
The Sound of Jazz: Music for Our Time

Legendary jazz clarinetist and tenor saxophonist Ken Peplowski will present a one-day concert at the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center, celebrating the spirit and rich history of jazz. In partnership with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, Peplowski will bring together a talented lineup of local and national musicians. Performers will honor the timeless brilliance of legendary artists with sets featuring Brazilian jazz, music from the swing and big band era, contemporary jazz, and music by Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman. Food trucks will be onsite with food for purchase.
Joining Ken Peplowski onstage will be Randy Brecker, Ada Rovatti, Ehud Asherie, Peter Washington, Willie Jones III, Rossano Sportiello, Bruce Harris, Mariel Bildstein, Ada Rovatti, and Brianna Thomas.
This performance will be held during Upstate Art Weekend, an annual event celebrating the cultural vibrancy of upstate New York through events and open exhibitions.
