Writers Express presents: So You Want to Write A Novel? In-person at HVWC
Grades 9-12
July 24-28 3:00-5:00pm
Starting a novel can be overwhelming for even the most experienced writers. Through this workshop, teen writers will participate in outlining activities, character explorations, and conversations about plot structure. By the end of the week, writers will leave the workshop with a variety of tools to get them started on a longer project.

Misty Yarnall received her BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College. She is a member of the Teaching Artist Institute of Rochester and has facilitated workshops for writers of all ages through nonprofit organizations such as Writers & Books, the Howard County Arts Council, Best Buddies, and the Hudson Valley Writers Center. Her work can be found in a handful of literary magazines, including Prime Number Magazine, The Roadrunner Review, and Coalesce Community. She holds awards in the Sixth Act Playwriting Competition, the 2 Pages/2 Voices Playwriting Contest, and the POV Fest Screenwriting Contest.
