Comedy improvisation is the art of acting without a script. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to be a little goofy and form new friendships along the way. Students will learn the craft of comedy improvisation through playing warm-up and group-building games geared toward honing communication skills, boosting creative problem solving, and gaining confidence in public-speaking. We will host a live performance for friends and families during the last hour on Friday.

Misty Yarnall received her BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College. She is a member of the Teaching Artist Institute of Rochester and has facilitated workshops for writers of all ages through nonprofit organizations such as Writers & Books, the Howard County Arts Council, Best Buddies, and the Hudson Valley Writers Center. She is currently the Administrative and Communications Coordinator and the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center.
