A visiting artist at my childhood summer camp tried to encourage me with the words, “Painting makes one happier.” For many years in my young adulthood I abandoned my art. When I rediscovered painting, I indeed found my passion and my happiness.
I mostly paint people, and my people tell a story. I find that I fall in love with my subjects while working on a picture. And, what can be more joyful than that!
