The Somers Library Movie Matinee series meets in person to view the iconic science fiction film “2001: A Space Odyssey,” (1968) one of the American Film Institute’s top 100 films of all time which is now widely regarded as “one of the greatest and most influential films ever made.” The film explored themes of human evolution, technology and artificial intelligence. After 55+ years let’s see how far we have come.
Movies selected are based on monthly themes, quality and ratings, with length not to exceed 2 hours. Join us!
