Somers Library Movie Matinee series meets in person to view: “Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.” This seasonal classic tells the story of Scrooge, the unscrupulous businessman, who doesn’t think much of charity; but then the ghost of his deceased business partner appears to him, trying to get him to change his mind and learn to open his heart. George C. Scott plays the role of Scrooge in this 1984 made for TV movie.
