Poetry Reading by Kerrin McCadden, Angela Narciso Torres, and Jennifer Sperry Steinorth (via Zoom)

Join us as we welcome three award-winning poets to read from their new collections. Tickets are free but donations towards the poets’ honoraria are appreciated. This event will be on Zoom. Zoom link will be sent at the time of registration and again the day of the reading.
Kerrin McCadden is the author of Landscape with Plywood Silhouettes (New Issues, 2014), Keep This To Yourself (Button Poetry, 2020), and American Wake (Black Sparrow Press, 2021). Her first book won the inaugural Vermont Book Award in 2015. A recent National Endowment for the Arts fellowship awardee, McCadden’s poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series, and recently in American Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Los Angeles Review, New England Review, Ploughshares, and Prairie Schooner. McCadden teaches at Montpelier High School, serves as the Associate Director of the Conference on Poetry and Teaching at The Frost Place, and is associate poetry editor at Persea Books. She lives with her family in Vermont.
Angela Narciso Torres is the author of What Happens Is Neither (Four Way Books 2021) Blood Orange, winner of the 2013 Willow Books Literature Award for Poetry, and the chapbook, To the Bone (Sundress Publications 2020). Recent work appears or is forthcoming in Poetry, Missouri Review, Quarterly West, Cortland Review, and Poetry Northwest. A graduate of Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers and Harvard Graduate School of Education, Angela has received fellowships from Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Illinois Arts Council, and Ragdale Foundation. She received First Prize in the Yeats Poetry Prize (W.B. Yeats Society of New York). New City Magazine named her one of Chicago’s Lit 50: Who Really Books in Chicago. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Manila, she currently resides in San Diego. She serves as a senior and reviews editor for RHINO Poetry.
Jennifer Sperry Steinorth’s books include Her Read A Graphic Poem (2021) and A Wake with Nine Shades (2019), a finalist for the Foreword Reviews Prize for Poetry, both from Texas Review Press. A poet, educator, interdisciplinary artist, and licensed builder, she has received grants from Vermont Studio Center, the Sewanee Writers Conference, Community of Writers, and the MFA for Writers at Warren Wilson College. Her recent work has appeared in Black Warrior Review, Cincinnati Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Missouri Review, Pleiades, Plume, Rhino, TriQuarterly and elsewhere. She teaches at Northwestern Michigan College, for Hudson Valley Writers Center and elsewhere.
