Pitch in for Parks

Westchester Parks Foundation is seeking volunteers of all ages for Pitch in for Parks, its largest volunteer program. The annual event, held in partnership with the Westchester County Parks Department, will take place throughout Westchester from Monday, April 18 through Saturday, April 23, rain, or shine. This year the event is made possible by Gold Sponsor Triton International. Pre-registration is required.
Volunteers, working as individuals, families, corporations, local businesses, or groups, are needed for trash clean up, clearing trails and shorelines, restoring wildlife habitats, removing invasive vines from trees, painting, raking, and preparing and planting flower beds. Projects will take place throughout Westchester County Parks including: Monday, April 18 – Pitch in For Parks Kick Off, Lenoir Preserve in Yonkers; Tuesday, April 19 – Thursday, April 21 – volunteer projects throughout the parks; Friday, April 22 – Earth Day Volunteer Project, Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale; Saturday, April 23 – Glen Island Park, New Rochelle; Tibbetts Brook Park, Yonkers; and Bronx River Reservation at Westchester County Center, White Plains; and Blue Mountain Reservation, Peekskill.
Volunteers will be separated in shifts to practice safe social distancing. All tools will be sanitized, and hand sanitizing stations will be available for volunteers. Pre-registration is required to participate. Click here to pre-register: https://westchesterparksfoundation.eventbrite.com/
