Monarch Habitat Hike
August 27 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
$3
Explore the habitat of monarch butterflies with Shayla and Hailey on a family-friendly hike at Rockwood Hall. Learn about the monarch life cycle and their transcontinental migration, why their numbers are in decline, and what we can do to help them. The hike will be about 2 miles with frequent stops for discussion. Please wear sun protection, bring water to drink, and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes. Long pants tucked into your socks are recommended to prevent exposure to ticks and poison ivy. Cost: $3 + Eventbrite fees. Max: 30 people. Photo courtesy of Julia Jardine.
