Lunar New Year Festival | Year of the Pig

May music, dance, and art bring you good fortune! Celebrate the Year of the Pig, one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, with an afternoon of traditional Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese performing arts, crafts and symbolic foods. The fun starts at 1pm with workshops in the art of Chinese knotting and Korean drumming and dance. A cultural performance will follow, featuring Chinese Lion Dance, the mysterious Bian Lian mask dance of the Sichuan opera, Korean and Chinese folk dances, as well as traditional instrumental performances by award winning musicians. Performers include Kwan’s Kung Fu Lion Dance Ensemble, the NY Korean Performing Arts Center, Hee Jung Han, Eleanor Li, and Thuy Pham. Korean Small Drum Dance and Chinese Calligraphy Workshops | 1-2PM Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese Music and Dance Performance | 2-4PM $10 General Admission | Free for children under 10 | Admission covers workshops and performance.
