Legend of Sleepy Hollow Family Storytelling Event (12noon)

Storyteller David Neilsen will perform a 25-minute retelling of Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. This will be a fun, family event, featuring additional Halloween treats and activities for our guests.

David Neilsen is a classically-trained actor and professional storyteller who has performed at a wide range of venues, ranging from the New York Botanical Gardens, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and Washington Irving’s Sunnyside to area schools and birthday parties. His captivating storytelling and mesmerizing one-man shows have enthralled audiences of all ages throughout the Tri-State area. He is also the author of two Middle Grade horror/comic/fantasies Dr. Fell and the Playground of Doom and Beyond the Doors, both published by Crown Books for Young Readers.

Important information about this event:
We are thrilled to welcome our community for an in-person outdoor event to celebrate the Halloween festivities in Sleepy Hollow. The event will take place in person outside of HVWC at 300 Riverside Drive in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Families are welcome! The audience is limited to 50 people. This event is free, but please follow the link below, as pre-registration is required. Donations are welcome and much appreciated!

In the event of inclement weather, we will email the audience 24 hours before the performance to update the event’s status.
