Introverts: Embracing Your Strength in an Extroverted World

April 11, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Introverts are often misunderstood in our loud, rapid-fire culture. Our presenters will discuss how to recognize the secret strengths of introverts, what they offer, and importantly, what they need. There will also be a Q & A session at the end. You will go home with tips to empower introverts at work and play as well as increased understanding of the introverts in your life.

The presenters are:
Michael Alcee, Ph.D, a clinical psychologist in Tarrytown, a TEDx speaker, podcast contributor, and author. He is an adjunct professor at William Patterson University and Mental Health Coordinator at the Manhattan School of Music.

Elisabeth Hickey, a graduate of Vassar College and Fordham University She has been a teacher for over 20 years, the last 12 in Tarrytown teaching high-achieving intermediate and middle school students. She has three grown children, two of whom are wonderfully introverted to varying degrees.

Registration is requested, not required. To register, visit us at http://www.rivertownparents.com/introverts-registration.html.

*Spanish translation will be provided.
