Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Nightingale” – A Musical Telling
June 21 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am
Free
The Nightingale is one of H.C. Andersen’s very classic stories, highlighting the contrast between the value of what is artificial and that of what is real. The setting features a host of characters—from an Emperor with his comic gentleman-in-waiting, to a poor kitchen maid. The musical accompaniment includes flute, harp, and a colorful variety of light percussion instruments. All ages welcome!
This performance features Richard Hollis as the storyteller, Pamela Sklar on flute, and composer Alyssa Reit at the harp.
