Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge Lighting in Honor of Global Volunteer Month
April 9 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pmFree
In cooperation with the New York State Thruway Authority, the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will officially be lit orange and blue in support of local Tarrytown nonprofit, Volunteer New York! on April 9, 2021 — the same day of the 2021 Volunteer Spirit Awards breakfast benefit!
This special lighting will commemorate the 100%+ increase in local volunteerism that has occurred throughout our community since the onset of the pandemic. We have seen volunteers step up in amazing and extraordinary ways this past year — going above and beyond to give what they can to help the most vulnerable among us. And we hope you will join us in recognizing and celebrating these contributions, acts of kindness, and sacrifices as part of April’s Global Volunteer Month by visiting the bridge on Friday, April 9 or by showing your support by clicking here to view the bridge live!
We encourage all community members who value and appreciate the role of volunteers in our community to stop by on your own to see the bridge lighting and reflect on the many volunteers who help unite our community on Friday, April 9 after 7:30 PM. Or by visiting Facebook.com/volunteerNYnow/live to watch the live feed of the bridge lighting presented by Volunteer New York!
