Friends of The Kensico Cemetery: Veterans Remembrance Service

Soldiers from Westchester County who died in Iraq and Afghanistan will be honored as part of the nineteeth annual Veterans’ Remembrance Service on Friday, May 23 at 2:30 PM held at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. The public is invited to attend the tribute to these fallen heroes as well as those military personnel who have fought and continue to fight in the Global War on Terrorism.
The ceremony will take place adjacent to the Administration Building at the Kensico Cemetery’s Veterans Memorial monument, dedicated to all who have served in this nation’s military.
The Veterans Remembrance Service includes the placement of wreaths, the raising of the American flag, scripture readings, and guest speakers. Special remembrance will be given to two Medal of Honor recipients buried at Kensico Cemetery, military from
