Feed the People: A Storytelling Event for Food Justice

November 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25

We’re using storytelling to rally support for the people and groups working locally to fight hunger and food waste, to promote sustainability, and more. Stories on the subject “What Sustains Us” will be shared by advocates on the front lines of these issues in a wonderful farm-to-table venue.

We Rise: Storytelling Collective of Bridgeport, Connecticut, will lead the event. Food and drinks generously provided by RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen and proceeds of the event will support the participating food justice organizations.

Storytelling is a powerful format for bringing communities together. By sharing and listening to stories, we can be both inspired and entertained. In a close and relaxed setting, we learn about each other and come to care for and respect each other in new and meaningful ways. The MFA Program supports the use of stories in the service of social justice and hopes this event will give an energetic boost to the already impassioned efforts of these food justice leaders.

JOIN US for this amazing and worthy event. You’ll have fun, and the locally sourced and prepared food … will sustain you!
