Crossover Yoga Project 2nd Annual Fundraising Event

The Crossover Yoga Project (CYP) is celebrating empowering over 4,200 girls and the achievements of women at CYP’s 2nd annual fundraiser on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2020, 2-5pm, at Bethany Arts Community in Ossining to support the expansion of CYP’s program to meet the demand in Westchester County.
At this wine and light hors d’oeuvres reception, CYP will educate the community about our mission and work, and meet local politicians, to work at attain our goal of raising $10,000. The celebration will include a silent auction, art exhibit and performances by CYP’s survivors who will share their powerful stories and artistic expressions that have helped transform their lives as a result of CYP’s programs.
Sponsors and Advocate ticket holders will have an intimate opportunity at a champagne reception to enjoy original appetizers from Brother’s Fish & Chips, meet CYP’s survivors and experience their artwork beginning at 2pm. Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health’s Commissioner, Michael Orth, will share his vision for Westchester County along with other politicians and special guests from CYP’s programs Throughout the county.
CYP empowers trauma survivors and supports them in building resilience, self-awareness, and self-respect. Since its launch in 2015, CYP has touched the lives of over 4,200 girls at juvenile detention centers, shelters, and residential treatment centers throughout Westchester County empowering them to reclaim their voices through trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, and creative art expressions.
