Author Talk: The Field House: A Writer’s Life Lost and Found on an Island in Maine
Author and Horace Greeley graduate Robin Clifford Wood has created a compelling blend of biographical information and a memoir. She recounts the remarkable life of writer Rachel Field who was a National Book Award-winning novelist, a Newbery Medal-winning children’s writer, a poet, playwright and rising Hollywood success who died at age 47.
Robin moved into Rachel Field’s long neglected home in Maine and became determined to find out who this vibrant and talented person was.
Robin has a BA from Yale University, an MA in English and an MFA in creative writing. Her work has appeared in many literary magazines.
