Bats: NY’s Caped Crusaders! ♿

Despite what Dracula may have led you to believe, only 3 of over 1,400 bat species worldwide actually suck blood. Most bats prefer insects and help keep insect populations under control; they are also important pollinators and are an integral component of a healthy ecosystem. Celebrate spooky season with naturalist, Josh DiPaola, on a 1-mile twilight walk around Swan Lake in search of these elusive and misunderstood creatures.
