Animal Tracking & Signs of Nature

November 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

$5

Join Naturalist and Wilderness Educator, Stephen Sciame of Blue Campfire
Experiences LLC, for a ~2 mile walk around Swan Lake and surrounding areas
and learn how to read the signs of nature to interpret animal movement and
behavior. This includes not only their tracks, but also their droppings, feathers,
nests and burrows, and things like rub marks on trees from deer antlers, holes
in trees from woodpeckers, and even things you can’t see- like their sounds!
Learn how to use these observations to your advantage in a survival situation.
Meet at the Visitor’s Center courtyard and bring water to drink. No dogs please. Rain date: November 14.
Cost: $5 + Eventbrite fees. Maximum: 15 people.
