American Cancer Society Relay for Life

Colleges Against Cancer at Pace University hosts the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to raise funds for cancer care and research. Nearly 450 students have already signed up. This inspiring overnight brings the community together for a night of activities, food, entertainment, and games sponsored by student organizations and Greek Life. A Survivors and Caregivers Lap will celebrate the victories over cancer and a Luminaria Ceremony will pay tribute to those affected by cancer. Two Pace students – a cancer survivor and a student who has lost a loved one to cancer – will speak about their experiences.
Schedule: Friday, April 12
4 p.m. – Opening Ceremony with Pleasantville Mayor Peter Scherer, Dean For Students Lisa Bardil Moscaritolo, cancer survivor and student Cassidy Caroselli; Pace student organizers, Student Affairs staff. Followed by survivors and caregivers walk.
10 p.m. – Luminaria Ceremony – Those touched by cancer will illuminate the field.
2:45 a.m. – Closing Ceremony.
