Acting Shakespeare

Four actors, one stage, and a lifetime of work. This freely adapted, 90-minute version of Ian McKellen’s legendary one-man show — reworked for four actors — will unlock Shakespeare’s greatest characters for a new generation of audiences and theater lovers alike. “Acting Shakespeare” is a co-production between Irvington Theater and Irvington Shakespeare Company.

All performances take place at the Mercy College Lecture Hall, just a five minute drive from our theater; there is ample parking available (see map). In accordance with the latest COVID-19 guidance from New York State and Mercy College, masks and proof of vaccination for audience members (ages 5 and up) will be required.
