An expert panel on current treatments for knee, shoulder and hip pain is a featured program this February at Northern Westchester Hospital’s (NWH) Center for Healthy Living. Other free, virtual classes to help people feel better, get healthier, and have more fun include chair yoga, smoking cessation, self-care for the caregiver; Wellness Wednesday (focus on Heart Health), and a cooking club for kids during the February school break.
Located next to the Whole Foods Market at Chappaqua Crossing, the Center for Healthy Living supports health and wellness through education, health resources, diverse programing and referrals. Some knee, shoulder or hip pain may be normal, but some pain can be long lasting and require joint replacement surgery. A panel of NWH’s leading orthopedic surgeons will discuss the latest treatments; surgical and non-surgical treatment options, who is a candidate for joint replacement and living an active life post-replacement. Presenters include Dr. Victor Khabie, Dr. Evan Karas, Dr. Joel Buchalter and Dr. Evan Hawkins.
