Civil War Reenactors and Encampment along with many Military Artifacts on Site

The Lincoln Depot Museum is asking you to join us on Saturday November 5th for a special tribute to our nation’s veterans.

In his Second Inaugural Address, delivered on March 4, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln challenged the nation to finish the Civil War that began almost 4 years earlier and called upon Americans to remember the Veterans who fought in that war.

With his immortal words, he asked Americans “…to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan.”
In honor of the memory of President Lincoln, this nation’s finest Commander-in-Chief, the Lincoln Depot Museum in Peekskill has set aside Saturday November 5th to honor all veterans of the U.S. military who served their country throughout our history.

The event will run from 12-4PM and will feature the following main events:
1PM: Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson “Dotted Half Notes” choir to sing patriotic songs.
2PM: A panel of Veterans, with representatives of the Vietnam, Cold and Iraq Wars.
3PM: Alyssa Martin as Dawn O’Day, recreates a WWII Command Performance, radio broadcast.
All Day on The Grounds: 5th NY Civil War Reenactor encampment and a WWII Jeep and other military equipment on display.

The event is $10 per person, with free admission for Veterans, museum members and children under 12.
The Lincoln Depot Museum is located at 10 South Water Street, Peekskill, NY.
