The Sleepy Hollow video featured students in a creative combination of interviews, posters, and human letters spelling out the word VOTE.
Six students – Thalia Criollo, Ashley Pesantez-Quesada, Cristian Yuqui, Jeffrey Asante, Daniel Elia, and Joseph Galasso – then attended the official screening reception held at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens. The team also earned a $250 Apple Store gift card for placing third.

Junior Named Honoree and Keynote Speaker for Leukemia Run
Katie Smercak has been named the National Honoree by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at this year’s Nike Half Marathon in San Francisco, a race designed to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Katie has been looking forward and planning for this event ever since she began her battle against Leukemia at age five. The 16-year-old will be the keynote speaker at the inspiration dinner the evening before the race, and she has also been given the honor of being appointed the race starter.
