Emerald Woods Welcomes New Homeowners

Emerald Woods, the enclave of luxury, country farm houses in Tarrytown, is celebrating the arrival of the first of 14 new homeowners to acquire one of the custom-built homes.

imagesThe community, which began marketing to the public just one year ago, has sold out Phase One and is quickly selling out Phase Two with just three homes remaining. “Since the opening of the model home, we have had incredible feedback from potential buyers. They love the design of the homes, the luxury amenities, generous homesites, ideal location for commuting, sought-after schools and of course, the Rivertowns’ natural beauty and quaint surroundings,” reports Cindy Kief, head of sales for Emerald Woods and a sales associate at Houlihan Lawrence in Irvington.

Emerald Woods offers the home buyer the opportunity to select their individually customized home on their preferred homesite. Each home is beautifully sited on one-acre parcels. Once the home and homesite are selected, the fun begins as the future homeowner works one-on-one with an on-site interior design specialist who assists in the selection of everything from kitchen cabinetry to paint color. The possibility of owning new construction, built to order on one acre of land less than forty minutes from NYC, is what attracts most buyers to this unique community.

In what has become a challenging market for most in real estate sales, Emerald Woods continues to shine. “We offer great architectural design, combined with fine finishes and a superior level of interior detail. Combined with the convenience of living in the Rivertowns, Emerald Woods is a home run!,” says Kief.

At a price point starting under 2 million, Emerald Woods offers buyers tremendous value in the luxury market with the standard home chock full of carefully selected amenities, generously proportioned rooms, stone fireplaces, custom wood cabinetry, granite countertops, state-of-the-art appliances and hardwood flooring throughout. For those who dream big, the customization options are limitless, allowing the buyer to truly achieve their dream home.

Working closely with the village of Tarrytown, Emerald Woods is committed to maintaining the stunning specimen trees and grounds that are indigenous to the area. Anecdotally, the name Emerald Woods came about when developers of the project were walking the land and noticed the sun hitting the trees reflecting the translucent green of a flawless Emerald, hence Emerald Woods was born. The architectural style of the luxury country farmhouse was intentionally designed to reflect many of the original homes in the Rivertowns. Each model offered is named for the many trees found on the grounds, most notably the sugar maple which lines the private road leading in off of Broadway and continuing throughout the community.

“Currently, we have completed two homes, one being our model home, and have approvals to move forward with the next five which are all in various stages of construction,” reports Allen Ostroff, on behalf of Gracemere Development Corporation, the developer of Emerald Woods. “We look forward to welcoming families and to continuing to work closely with village officials as the community continues to grow,” says Ostroff.

The release of the final phase of Emerald Woods is anticipated as early as Spring 2008. Phase III, located along Gracemere Lane, will feature the premium homes of Emerald Woods. Each homesite is beautifully situated along 16 acres of dedicated open green space affording each of these privileged homeowners the enjoyment of the ultimate in privacy and the natural beauty of the Rivertowns.
