Music, culture, food and family fun take center stage at the annual Muslim Heritage Festival on Sunday, August 23, from noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
Set against one of the County’s most iconic landmarks, this dynamic festival showcases the traditions, artistry and contributions of Muslim communities through live performances, cultural music, engaging educational exhibits, a vibrant marketplace, arts and crafts, and an array of international food trucks.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “The Muslim Heritage Festival reflects the strength of our County’s diversity and the shared values that unite us. Events like this bring neighbors together to celebrate culture, deepen understanding and reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and mutual respect throughout Westchester.”
Acting Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation William Bland said: “The Muslim Heritage Festival is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to experience and appreciate the traditions and contributions of Muslim communities. We invite everyone to join us at Kensico Dam Plaza for a day filled with entertainment, discovery and celebration.
Admission and parking are free. The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; blankets or lawn chairs are recommended. Coolers are not allowed. Carpooling or taking mass transit is encouraged. To attend the festival via Metro-North, take the Harlem Line to the Valhalla Station, which is a short walk from the park.
The last Heritage Festival of the 2026 season is the Arab-American Heritage Festival on Sunday, Sept. 13 from noon to 6 p.m. at Ridge Road Park in Hartsdale.
Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.
