One-Night-Only Staged Reading of New Musical Comedy Cool at Camp Coming to Shames JCC July 9

The Shames JCC on the Hudson will host a special one-night-only staged reading of Cool at Camp, a new adult musical comedy, on Wednesday, July 9 at 7:00 PM.

Cool at Camp is a meshuga musical romp about kids, camp, crazy parents, and coming of age. Bursting with heart, hilarity, and nostalgia, the show brings to life the unforgettable experience of summer camp — the awkwardness, the inside jokes, and the lifelong friendships. In other words, it’s summer camp the way you remember it.  Here is a PROMO VIDEO

Co-writer, composer, and producer Dani Tapper, describes the show as “a love letter to camp.” She shares:

“I went to sleepaway camp for 15 summers — the same camp my mother went to and the same camp my daughter went to. This show will give you all the nostalgia and feels of being right back at camp with your camp friends. Call up your camp besties and reunite with them on July 9 to laugh the way you can only laugh with your camp friends.”
